Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 4 Bonus Activity

Task - Bonus Activity
Make a word poem called a ‘wordle’ using your packing list (i.e. the list of of things you are taking with you on your trip). To make a wordle you need to go to the Wordle website [http://www.wordle.net/create]. Enter the words for all of your items into the box provided and click ‘Go.’ The website will create a wordle for you. Save the wordle and then post it on your blog.
This is my Wordle. I used a link called 'Tagul' because the other link couldn't work.

  2. Hi Caroline,

I am also really happy to see you back online. It's wonderful! I love the wordle that you have created using the Tagul site. I'm so sorry that the other 'Wordle website' didn't work. I have now added the link for the Tagul site to the Summer Learning Journey website so that other students don't have to struggle. Thanks for providing the link to Tagul in your blog post :-)

I really like that you chose to create an airplane for this graphic. It's the perfect shape and is quite eye catching with the teal blue, purple and chartreuse (half yellow-half green) colours that you chose.

Nicely done, Caroline! Hope to see you posting another blog really soon!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

  3. Hi Caroline,

My name is Madeleine, and I live in Canada. I really enjoyed reading your blog! I loved your Wordle, it was a really smart idea to shape it like an airplane! The colours were also very pretty, and looked amazing together. If you don't want to be a writer, I think you could be an artist; you have an eye for design. Still, keep on writing, I love your writing style! Have an amazing day!

  4. Kia ora Caroline,

Smart thinking to use your Tagul site when the Wordle link didn't work. Well done! I really like how you have designed your Tagul, and I agree with Rachel - making it in the shape of an plane is very fitting for your Summer Learning Journey :-)

I think my favourite part of your Tagul is all the different colours you have used for what you have packed. It helps them to stand out very clearly, making them incredibly eye catching. That teal green you've used is my favourite colour as well, what's your favourite colour?

It's worked out quite well that your passport is right in the centre too, I'd say that's definitely the most important thing to pack!

    Naku noa,
    Dan.

  5. Hello Caroline,

'Passport' also captured my attention first, and it is a very very important item to pack, so I agree with Dan, it has worked out very well indeed.

I have never made a Wordle before, so thanks for the inspiration - I think I'll give it a try!

    Cheers,
    Carolyn

My name is Zane and im from Glen Innes school yr 8! I am amazed by looking at this wordle. I don't think anyone has came up with this idea of making a wordle of a airplane. And the colours stand out brilliantly!

I hope you do well in your future learning =) :V

  7. I love wordle and it's also colourful. It also makes me of the idea behind the plane and the passport. Outstanding post Caroline.
